Learning is not limited to class room studies, it can also be done with the help of fun. In fact, doing different activities increase motivation of the students, by helping them relax, share, and enjoy at the same time. Keeping this in mind, the Department of Computer Science conducted fun activities for the students of BCA-I and PGDCA. These light and engaging activities were the perfect way to welcome students to college. This activity was conducted which was comprised of different games. Students have actively participated in all the games.

First game was “Head, Shoulders, Knees, Toes and Cup” in which the students face each other forming a vertical line and the leader calls out parts of the body like Head, Shoulders, Knees, Toes etc randomly. When a part of the body is called the participants must touch that part with both hands. The player that picks up the cup wins, the player without the cup is eliminated.

Second game was “Mind Game” in which a PPT is prepared by the teachers which contain 50 random words. First the PPT is shown to students for 1 minute and during that time they have to remember all the words and then 1 minute time is given to them for writing those words. In the first round there was a tie between BCA-I, BCA-II and PGDCA students. So, there was also second round and the winner of the round was Shweta Chelani, student of BCA-I. Students enjoyed it a lot, with the help of this game the concentration and thinking level of the students are developed.

All the teachers of Computer Department have worked hard towards the planning and execution of the event. The program was concluded with a gratitude note given by Mrs. Abhilasha Khare.
